Captain Sileo was born and raised in Fort Lauderdale and began his military law enforcement career in 1981 with the US Air Force.
After his active service he became law enforcement officer for the City of Boca Raton Police Department in 1987 where he served as a patrolman and a detective assigned to the Burglary Apprehension Team.

In addition to the more conventional investigations, and as a result of the specialized training and experience acquired by investigators assigned to the division, sensitive specialized investigations for other law enforcement agencies and/or County departments are also conducted.
Essentially, the services of the division are available to any law enforcement agency in the County with the approval of the Office of the Sheriff.
