We were then charged anyway for the following year's subscription. I found out today that for ten years that AVG has been hitting one of my credit cards yearly for dollars for an antivirus that has never worked from day one. This VPN would shield you from anyone knowing what you were doing on the UU-net (sorry old school UNIX) and protect you from BLA, BLA, BLA.We are attempting to get the credit card to reverse the charge but it's an ongoing battle that I shouldn't have to fight. Now if they said they could protect us from ** TRUMP the Bump I may have bought in, No such luck. But anyways politics aside she was suppose to be protected from anyone trying to hack into her outgoing /incoming data streams. The VPN turned our Verizon fiber 100k into 3-10K (if I am not mixing up K with Meg which I think I am).

So i've just built a new computer and have installed kaspersky internet security, but when i try to do a database update it goes to 2% complete and doesn't go any further. Kaspersky is nowadays the best internet security software on the market. Even then, reality is Norton is just as good if not any superior to Kaspersky and quite honestly I would blindly trust Norton Security, Mc Afee, Trend Micro, F-Secure kind of more established organisation over some 3rd party so called internet security suit bullshit like Kaspersky, Avast, Eset or Bit Defender garbage etc.
I've tried looking for an answer, but i can't find one, so hopefully someone here knows what is happening? and yes, you shouldn't use two internet security software at the same time. I wouldn't advice you to use Norton or any free internet security software. And just for the record I have used both Norton and Kaspersky and this whole high resource utilization thing about Norton is an utter nonsense since I have hardly noticed any difference with the performance from start up to the running of multiple process smoothly.
Could neither re-install nor remove with Windows uninstall. Resolved by turning off AVG before booting Opera, then turning it back on. Clicking on AVG settings gets nothing in the left column where I believe choices for settings are supposed to be. I offered to forward the cancellation confirmation email but she refused. This antivirus has a history of not being what it represents its self to be. AVG take money from you automatically (without you use your own card) for renewing licenses up to two weeks before the expiry of the old ones.
After researching my account she advised me that AVG had no record of my cancellation.
